Recent media coverage of the royals has heavily focused on their family drama and hearing the effects it’s had on people within the institution and the colonial ties it continues to uphold, I think it’s time for the monarchy’s reign to end.
STAFF OPINION: Keep your head up
The odds have been stacked against us this year, so I say give yourself credit for just getting through it all. I think through these experiences, there’s been some comfort knowing we’re all going through the same hardships. I’ve found inspiration through all the things my peers have been able to achieve which has helped keep me grounded this year by reminding me what’s really important in life.
Men’s and women’s basketball season starts after COVID-19 put the season in jeopardy
After many months of COVID-19 induced uncertainty surrounding the basketball season, the University of Portland women and men’s basketball teams recently started the 2020-21 season — the first time any Pilots team has suited up for play since March 10, when the women’s basketball team won the WCC tournament.
