“There really is a tunnel under ocean blvd.” The man working at the record store assured me of this as he handed me my free poster and we shared a quick laugh together. It felt good to hear that.

After spring break, the semester always seems to fly by — the blossoms bloom, the days get warmer and there are more long weekends and days off. Seniors may be organizing their lives after graduation whether that be grad school, job hunting or apartment hunting. Time can pass you by on The Bluff, but as you look back, there are often experiences, no matter how niche, that bring us all together.

Every year, Mehling Hall resident assistants and students plan for their annual spring dance, a tradition they have been doing since most can remember. However, seniors Grace Elder, Cindy Garibay, Mackenzie Clark and Assistant Hall Director Luipta Zamora-Resendiz saw this as an opportunity to change tradition into something more meaningful for students.
