University of Portland Pilot Battalion and Detachment 695 stood guard for 24 hours during their annual Veterans Day vigil. The vigil is conducted every year at the praying hand’s memorial in front of Christie Hall. The bricks in the wall symbolize those who have served and the bricks with names inscribed honor those who died in the service. For the first time since 2019 cadets were able to hold an in-person ceremony following the vigil.
