On Thursday, UP's class of 2022 moved in to the residence halls. The class of 2022 is one of the largest classes in UP history. Move in included a dinosaur at Villa Maria Hall, a llama in Fields Hall and a confetti cannon at Shipstad Hall.

Last night, students, guests and incoming freshmen arrived at the Chiles Center for Campus Program Board's annual event, Rock the Bluff. Big Wild, a DJ with best known songs including "Aftergold" and "When I Get There" started off the night as the opening act. Louis the Child, a DJ duo, was the headlining act. They started off the set with their popular song "Fire" and closed out the night with "Last to Leave" and confetti. The Beacon has your front-row pictures from the show here.
Last Friday night, the International Student Services and the Studies Abroad Office hosted the annual International Night in the Quiet Side of the Commons. The night began with guests visiting different booths dedicated to different countries, and ended with performances where students and guests displayed different talents from different cultures. Students experienced a snow day on Tuesday. Classes after 2:30 p.m. were cancelled, which allowed students to go play in the snow. People built snowmen, threw snowballs and hung out with friends in the chilly weather.

Campus Program Board, in partnership with the Athletics Department, had another successful year of HALLoween. Kids from the Portland community dressed up in costumes and came to campus to travel from dorm to dorm, trick-or-treating at students' doors. Check out the costumes from this year's HALLoween!
