Last Wednesday, April 4th, University of Portland's First Lady Bridget Turner Kelly, PhD, and co-editor Sharon Fries-Britt, hosted a special book signing event at the Campus Bookstore. Kelly read excerpts from her new edited volume, Black Women Navigating the Doctoral Journey, and met with attendees to sign copies of the book. Her co-editor, Sharon Fries-Britt, was also there to meet attendees. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to engage with this impactful work and connect with the author.

Starting off the new school year, UP’s Campus Program Board hosted Riverboat 2023 on the grass field adjacent to the Merlo Box Office.
