After high winds caused a tree to fall at the corner of Bauccio Commons, Facilities Services has completed a tree removal and is now repairing the damage. According to an email from Vice President for Finance and Operations Eric Barger, a large crane will occupy most of the surrounding area as repairs to Commons chimney are underway.

According to Joe Cates, the director of Facilities Services, the majority of the work is scheduled to be completed today, allowing the Commons parking lot and the entirety of the dining area to reopen after being closed for repairs.

“We do not have a firm date for completion of all the repairs,” Cates said. “However, the remaining work will have minimal occupant impact.”
