An electrical box near Shipstad Hall and a wall near the entrance of the UP bookstore were vandalized at an unidentified time this past weekend. Campus Safety was made aware of the incident after a Campus Safety officer reported the vandalized electrical box today at around 3:35 a.m., according to Director of Campus Safety and Emergency Management Michael McNerney.

Campus Safety believes the vandalism occurred either Saturday night or Sunday morning but is unaware of the exact time or date, Mcnerney said in an email to The Beacon. They are also investigating whether the two incidents are related.

“We are working with Facilities Services to reduce the attractiveness of the electrical box as a location for tagging, and we ask anyone with additional information to please contact Campus Safety and file a report,” McNerney said. “No matter how trivial it may seem, the smallest factoids can be of great assistance.”
