A search party for Class of 22’ alum, Andrew Barton, has been organized for tomorrow, May 7, at 10:30 a.m. Volunteers are being asked to gather at the Burgerville in St. John’s before heading to Forest Park to search and can sign up here. Barton was reported missing on April 29, according to an email sent to the UP community.
“We are working with local authorities to gather more information, but we are worried about Andrew and seeking to know his whereabouts,” Acting president Herbert Medina said in the email. “If you have any information about Andrew or if you interacted with him in the past few days, please contact UP Campus Safety at 503.943.7161 or via e-mail at campussafety@up.edu.”
The community has come together in hopes of finding Barton over social media. The Instagram account @uofpmemes has been posting information trying to spread awareness of Barton’s disappearance.
Barton was last seen the night of April 26 and morning of April 27, according to the account. His parents have hired a private investigator and can be contacted at (503) 490-8959 or gunderson@gundersonservices.com if anyone has information that could help the investigation.
