As seniors prep for graduation, and students wrap up their remaining finals before taking off for the summer, you may want to reconnect before saying goodbye. UP CPB will be hosting Anchor’s Away to celebrate the end of the 2021-2022 academic year. The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 28th from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. on the Bluff behind the Commons.

Anchor’s Away is open to all UP faculty and students. There will be games, a petting zoo, and food/drinks for purchase. Entrance to the event, as well as activities, will be free.

Guests are required to purchase tickets for food, which will be sold for $10. Students can also use meal points to pay for food. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase for guests 21 and over.

The theme of the event is a backyard picnic and will include nostalgic activities such as hula hoop contests and a balloon stomp.

According to Special events coordinator, Jessica Yoshioka, there will be two animals in the petting zoo.

“They are either going to be an alpaca and a llama or two alpacas or two llamas,” Yoshioka said.

The event is having catered food from Bon Appetit, which will include barbeque style dishes, as well as vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
