Results from the ASUP run-off election indicate that Kathleen Burks has been elected to serve as director of communications, and Brandon Wester has been elected to serve as director of finance.
Last week, students voted Sitara Nath and Michael Gallagher to be next year’s ASUP president and vice president. Their opponents Alex Peterson and Carrie Fitzgerald received 37.8 percent of the vote, compared to Nath and Gallagher’s 61.2 percent. All candidates for executive board, including presidential and vice presidential candidates layed out their platforms for students at Speech Night.
Wester ran against Wyatt Dykhuizen and Abigail Pell in the initial race for the director of finance position. And Burks ran against Sven Shoultz and Brenda Hernandez and Molly Rausch in the race for director of communications. Kaity Sullivan was elected to serve as Campus Program Board (CPB) Director, and will succeed Jacque Nelson, who has been in the position for two years.
