Last Saturday, UP’s Hawaii Club hosted its 42nd annual Lu’au. The completely sold-out event was held in the Chiles Center and hosted UP Staff, students, neighboring families in the North Portland community and the families of Lu’au performers (many all the way from Hawaii).
Food was donated from the Parents' Hawaii Club in Hawaii. Dishes included pork, chicken long rice and chocolate haupia pie. The evening consisted of close to 10 different performances, with live music paired with traditional Hawaiian dances.
