At the end of March, it's time for everyone to get excited about the cherry blossoms. They show up on your Instagram feed and your Snapchat story. A snow of petals greets you on your way to class and even the gloomiest of Portland days feels brighter as their pink fluorescence contrasts the clouds.
But nobody is as excited about the cherry blossoms as David Taylor, biology professor and the University's go-to botanist.
We caught up with Taylor to learn some little-known facts about everyone's favorite spring phenomenon.
