Will Meek, assistant director of counseling with the Health and Counseling Center, will be leaving his job at UP in March, he told The Beacon Tuesday night. Meek has been hired as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
Meek has worked on The Bluff for more than 4 years. During that time, he has improved access to mental health resources on campus, including reducing the waiting time for first-time counseling appointments from two weeks to two days, and worked to reduce the culture of stigmatizing mental illness on campus.
