Founder's Day celebration is April 12

Believe it or not, Founder’s Day is more than just a day to catch up on sleep or weeks' worth of unfinished readings. Founder’s Day is a tradition that dates back to the beginning of UP’s history. After being revitalized in 2001, students now celebrate with no classes before 4 p.m. and are given the opportunity to learn about the research and scholarly enterprises of upperclassmen on The Bluff. This day honors UP’s past and future by remembering those who started the university while admiring the works of some outstanding students.
