Oh Yik Yak, that inappropriate, weird half-sibling of Twitter. The location-based app is great for taking a campus-complaint pulse, and this post-Fall Break week the commentary centers almost exclusively on all things fall.

On clothing: “My one goal for today in the wind is to not get strangled by my scarf.”

“Pants are leggings and leggings are pants.”

“Feel constantly paranoid when I’m wearing a thin shirt and it’s this cold that my nipples are showing.”

“Whenever I wear a nice pair of shoes, I bring a back up pair with me just in case it starts raining.”

“I wish it wasn’t raining so I could wear slippers to class”

“She wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts, we are both very underprepared for this cold weather.”

“I lost my rain jacket aka not going to class today.”

On Thanksgiving Break: “Been in class 1 day and already counting down to Thanksgiving Break”

“How many days till Thanksgiving? Too many.”

On Post Fall Break Life: “On my way to class, and I forgot where to even go.”

“Left all my underwear at home during fall break. This week is already a struggle.”

On Bed: “Bed is BAE”

On weather updates via Yik Yak: “Is it raining? I’m too lazy to get out of bed to look.”

On the weather: “Okay wind, you can turn down now.”

“Nervous to go outside. Feel like my house is going to fall down with all of this wind.”

“Rain rain go away and come back another day when you transform into snow so we get school cancelled.”

“It could be -400 degrees outside and the Anchor would still be 10,000 degrees inside.”

“PSA: pplant employees are working on the arc. Keep calm and just keep swimming.”

“a rowboat would have been helpful to get to class this morning.”
