University of Portland’s tuition will go up 4.4 percent next fall, bringing the yearly tuition price to $43,686.
Room and board costs will increase by 4.3 percent as well. Total cost of attendance varies according to meal plan, but the increases will bring the minimum cost of attending UP to $56,028, up from last year’s $53,678.
Tuition rose at the same rate last fall, and the increase is at a normal rate and on par with other universities, according to University Vice President for Financial Affairs Alan Timmons.
